AJ in a tight fit for the cavernous hanger deck of the USS Yorktown.
It is also apparent that the edge-edge elevator is necessary to handle the AJ's on this class carrier.

Modernized several times since Korea, Yorktown received her latest major modification in 1958, when she was configured to carry out a new mission as the nucleus of a Hunter-Killer ASW (Anti Submarine Warfare) Force and redesignated CVS 10. 

The "Fighting Lady"; she has taken lives and she has saved lives...
