PH3 George Jackson in 1957, left the Navy, completed college, got commissioned, got his wings and
become the Photo Officer of the USS Yorktown on its last combat cruise in Vietnam.

Lt. Jackson was the kind of photo officer who would come into the photo lab, have a few minutes conversation with everyone (from the Chief on down to every airman apprentice) and leave everyone feeling glad to be working for him and being in the Navy.
